Plein Air Days

CWA Plein Air Days are held usually on the 3rd Saturday of the month, 10 am to 1 pm, at various locations around the San Francisco Bay Area. See details below. If you are logged in, you may sign up to attend plein air days on your Members Home page.

All CWA members are welcome to our plein air days. We will paint outdoors using water media (watercolor, gouache, acrylic) on paper, yupo or watercolor canvas. CWA members may bring a non-member to a plein air day, then the non-member must join CWA to attend more. CWA plein air days are not competitions. We will meet at 10 am, paint, have lunch and a critique at 1 pm. We will take pictures for the newsletter and CWA’s Facebook page. We will ask for a volunteer to write the story for the newsletter, about the day's events. When you get home, if you finish your painting or take a better photograph of it, please send it to info@californiawatercolor.org and we’ll use the better image for the newsletter and Facebook.

1/14: Gallery Concord 1pm

Planning meeting at Gallery Concord 1 pm. RSVP to info@californiawatercolor.org if you will attend. Bring suggestions for places to paint. Required: restrooms and that it be open to the public on the third Saturday of the month. Bonus: picnic tables.
